What is a Band Booster?

A booster is anyone who supports the Nottoway High School Band and Color Guard. The official title of the booster club is the “Nottoway High School Band Parents Association (NHSBPA)”.

 How do you become a member of the NHSBPA?

You are automatically a member if you have a child who is in the band or the color guard. Other family members, friends, and community members can also become members by simply coming to a meeting and signing up.

 How do the Boosters support the band?

  • Fundraising
  • Taking photographs (rehearsals, performances etc.)
  • Driving equipment truck
  • Moving instruments/equipment onto field for performances (Pit Crew)
  • Helping students dress before performances
  • Fitting/Altering uniforms
  • Providing/serving food to students
  • Chaperoning trips
  • … there are many more volunteer opportunities, something to fit everyone!!!!!

 

When and where are the Booster meetings held?

Meetings are usually held the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30PM in the Band Room. *Check the homepage for the next meeting date.* 

Everyone is encouraged to attend the monthly booster meetings. ALL are welcome!!! One of the greatest gifts we can give our children is our time and support. So let’s show our love and BOOST them up!! These meetings are a wonderful time to find out what is going on in band, ask questions, and share ideas.
